Follow Up #2: Owner Notification of Start of Work

NYC Building Code Section 3303.10.2 has been amended by Local Law 77 of 2023 to require owners to notify the Department of Buildings not less than 24 hours but not more than 72 hours before starting work requiring a Tenant Protection Plan (TPP).

Submit a Notification of Start of Work For DOB NOW jobs, log into DOB NOW and from the dashboard, select +Notifications and then Tenant Protection Plan.

To change the work start date after a notification has been submitted, cancel the prior notification by going to the Tenant Protection Plan 72 Hour Notifications dashboard and selecting the trash can icon from the Action column. For BIS jobs, notify DOB of the start of work through the Owner Notification form on DOB’s website.
