Completing Owner's Attestation in NYC DOB NOW - BUILT New York MEP Engineers

Before you can access DOB NOW, you’ll need an NYC.ID account. If you don’t already have one, start with our guide to creating an NYC.ID. Once you have an NYC.ID, you’re ready to use DOB NOW to log in, pay any required fees, and complete attestations.

Below, we’ll walk you through the process step by step.

Step 1: Log in to DOB NOW

1. Go to DOB NOW

2. Click Login.

3. Enter your NYC.ID email and password.

   • If you’ve forgotten your password, click Forgot Password and follow the prompts.

Step 2: Select DOB NOW: Build

1. After logging in, you’ll land on the main DOB NOW portal.

2. Click on the DOB NOW: Build dropdown from the menu.

Step 3: Access Your Filing or Record

1. Within DOB NOW: Build, use the dashboard to locate your project or filing.

2. You can search by address, job number, or filing type.

3. Click on the filing you want to manage.

Step 4: Pay Any Required Fees

1. If fees are due, you’ll see a Pay Now or Outstanding Fees option within the filing.

2. Select the fees and proceed to checkout.

3. Payments are made online via credit card or eCheck (ACH).

   • Note: There is typically a convenience fee for credit card payments.

4. After payment, you’ll receive a confirmation receipt. Be sure to download or print this for your records.

Step 5: Completing Owner's Attestation in NYC DOB NOW

1. Within the filing, navigate to the Statements & Signatures tab.

2. Review the attestation statement carefully.

   • The attestation typically confirms that the information submitted is accurate and complete.

1. Check the required box and click Save.

   • Only the applicant of record or authorized signatory can complete this step.

2. Once submitted, the system will update the filing status accordingly.

3. After the owner has completed the owner's attestation in NYC DOB NOW, the application can be signed and sealed by your design professional and submitted to the NYC DOB.
