Energy Star, a company that is run by the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Energy Department has set their deadline for submitting applications for 2023 Energy Star Certification for U.S commercial buildings as this Friday, December 8th. They will award 2023 certification to all successful applications received by that date. Applications received later or needing follow up or changes will be eligible for 2024 certification.

Average Processing Times

The average time to process applications is currently 15 business days, but as the deadline approaches, Energy Star expects processing times to continue to increase. They are urging applicants to apply as soon as possible to avoid delays.
